Live Acoustic Performer, Singer Song Writer, Producer, Sound Engineer & Host
Tom Lukas is an acoustic live music performer, originally from Cardiff and now living in London/Surrey. He is a performer that regularly plays live music gigs, events and also runs a business providing professional open mic nights, London Unplugged.
Tom is a self taught multi-instrumentalist playing the guitar, bass, piano and drums and commonly refereed to as a “one man band”.
He studied a BTEC National Diploma in Music Practice in Cardiff where he received distinction grades. He then went on to become one of six students studying Creative Music Technology at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama receiving his BMus Bachelor Degree in Creative Music Technology.
He has been composing/playing music since he was a child and apart from performing on his own, he has played in several bands including two function bands and is also the Musical Director of the ‘Confused Blues’ big band.
He set up the ‘TLU Trio’ in 2008 which regularly gigged his original material and covers around Cardiff, in 2009 he self produced and recorded a live album, distributed it on iTunes and produced a live DVD of the Trio in the studio.
Tom is currently pursuing his passion of music and is currently playing venues around London as a solo acoustic artist and running his company London Unplugged providing professional acoustic open mic nights.
Tom has already appeared on a couple of local radio stations, including GBK Radio at it’s launch and has been on Radio Cardiff with Jeremy Rees and Big Scott also performing on the BBC Radio Wales Evening Show with Alan Thompson.
He has a self released debut single ‘Body Drops’ which is available to download on iTunes and Amazon MP3 and his studio recorded EP original material called ‘Back to Roots’ is also available on iTunes and 7 Digital.
